The Effectivity OF Subliminal Video
Since the 1950s, sublimated messages have been in the spotlight as a way of manipulating consumer spending. James Vicary conducted a study during that time in which his results indicated that people are indeed influenced by such messages. If you have read any articles or information on subliminal video or audio, they will often point out this experiment as it seems to indicate the effectiveness of subliminal messages. Vicary came forward a few years later and admitted the experiment was never conducted.
The movie experiment has been conducted several times, and each time has actually failed. In fact, there have only been one or two successful subliminal experiments, and the results of these are questionable, as no initial base line was measured. Within the last few years however, there have been a few more subliminal video studies conducted that seem to indicate sublimated messages have some effect.
Of course there have been some positive results, so what about those? It’s not all smoke and mirrors or even doom and gloom for sublimated messaging. There have been a few small experiments that have yielded positive results, but there are some clear guidelines on how to be successful when targeting subliminal messages to consumers. It is the meaning in the message that is important and should be limited to just a single word. Phrases, sentences and complex statements are simply lost; a repeating image or word is the most effective.
The biggest influence on an individual is not the subliminal message itself, but the attitude of the consumer. It has been found that subliminal messages that target a person’s current state are much more effective than general messages. An example would be someone who is thirsty. This person will be more influenced by a message for a drink than someone who isn’t thirsty at all. What this means is that if you are already mentally prepared for success, then self-help sublimated video and audio messages will work.
Unconscious messages exploit the idea that our mind can process a lot more information than we truly understand. If you are watching a subliminal video that contains these messages, then chances are that the message will only appear for a brief time. This means that the messages will only be visible on screen for a fraction or two of a second. They are fast enough for our subconscious mind to notice them, but far too quick for the conscious mind to notice them at all.

I have been interested in subliminal messages for some time now. I bought several different kinds from different authors. It has been effective but not as effective as I would have wished for.
I was thinking about using the messages on my daughter to help her with her school work. I have not yet decided. The information that related is very good and I willconsider it before I make a decision.
